AVX Corp., a manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has announced a new series of AEC-Q200-qualified RF chip capacitors for automotive applications. According to the company, the new RF chip capacitors are “ideal for use in automotive Wi-Fi, collision avoidance, vehicle communications and traffic alert system applications.”
“AVX’s new automotive U series capacitors were specifically designed to help automotive engineers satisfy consumer demands for increased connectivity and high-tech safety features,” Mark Obuszewski, business manager at AVX, said.
According to AVX Corp, “the new C0G (NP0) dielectric Automotive U series capacitors exhibit ultra-low ESR, high Q and lot-to-lot uniformity that meets or exceeds the requirements of AEC Q200.” The new chip capacitors are also “rated for use in temperatures ranging from -55°C to +125°C and feature lead-free, plated Ni/Sn terminations.”
