Electronics distributor Digi-Key is now offering Vicor Corporation’s compact QPx series of active EMI/EMC filters. The new components provide high levels of attenuation in a fraction of the size of traditional solutions.
The Picor QuietPower QPO output ripple attenuator uses proprietary active filtering to reduce power supply output ripple and noise (PARD) over 30 dB from 1 kHz to 500 kHz. The new output ripple attenuator offers user-selectable optimization of attenuation, power dissipation, and transient performance and a high density open frame and added surface mount LGA packaging.
The Picor QuietPower QPI active EMI filter works in conjunction with a specific set of Vicor converters to deliver optimal efficiency, power and protection, says the company. Providing conducted common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) attenuation from 150kHz to 30MHz (CISPR22 range), the new filter is optimized for applications that require EN55022 Class B limits and features 12V, 24V, & 48V nominal input voltages, as well as a high density open frame and lidded surface mount LGA packaging.
