The CM1624 from California Micro Devices is an application specific microSD (micro secure digital) interface protection filter for mobile and computing devices. The CM1624 protects the microSD memory card and the hardware from ESD damage, suppresses EMI, and provides exceptional digital signal integrity. This new filter is part of California Micro Devices’ Praetorian III® product line noted for combining filter performance and minimal line capacitance. It can support clock frequencies up to 96 MHz, rise/fall times as fast as 5 nSec, and high levels of attenuation from 700 MHz to 3 GHz. The pin-out is optimized for the microSD interface standard and features six lines of EMI suppression with IEC 61000-4-2 ±15-kV (contact) integrated ESD protection, one line of through-package ESD protection for the Vcc line, and two additional discrete ESD diodes for related functions such as card detect. Integrated 25-kΩ pull-up resistors help detect the presence of the memory card.Learn more at the California Micro Device website.
