Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has co-authored a report entitled “A Single Nuke Could Destroy America” detailing the threat of a high-altitude EMP detonation. His warnings include the likely consequences of the EMP overlay that would take place if even one to three nuclear warheads were to be detonated high above North America. The result could be “a continental- wide collapse of our entire electrical, transportation, and communication infrastructure.
