TMD Technologies Limited (TMD) will announce its new PTCM-Series intelligent, modular, travelling wave tube (TWT) RF instrumentation amplifiers. Operating over the range DC-40 GHz with powers up to 50 kW, these new compact rack-mounted amplifiers deliver high field strengths and meet many worldwide test standards.
Offering remote user interface and maintainability, the PTCM-Series amplifiers are ideal for applications including EMC/radiated immunity, communications, EW, radar, RF component testing and the scientific field.
The amplifiers feature built-in self-test; advanced fault diagnostics; modular, plug and play field replaceable PCBs; and Ethernet remote control and monitoring. Thus, should a fault occur, the amplifier will identify the source of the problem – allowing a field engineer to very quickly get it back up and running.
In addition, the amplifier will log all operational hours and any tripped states – greatly aiding diagnostics and assessing, if required, when the unit may be near the end of its long life and due for replacement.
The new PTCM Series is designed to Military Standard 810G Transport, and operates over the temperature range 0°C to +40°C. Dimensions are 19 inch front panel, 6U height, 800 mm width, with a weight of 47 kg.
The product will be showcased for the first time at Booth 524.
