Rohde and Schwarz recently announced an affordable handheld spectrum analyzer, the “Spectrum Rider”. The base unit tunes from 5 kHz to 2 GHz, but may be upgraded, via firmware, to 3 or 4 GHz. The Spectrum Rider has many of the features and specifications of bench top analyzers and is ideal for the field technician or manufacturer on a budget.
