Three SMD Fuses for on-board circuit protection have been released by Schurter Inc. The fuses were designed for automated assembly, and are compact, precise, and pulse resistant.
The UMF 250 is a “quick-acting SMD fuse that protects electronic systems from overcurrents and sort circuits. The fuse is available for rated currents from 500 mA to 10 A and boasts a high breaking capacity of up to 200 A at rated voltage,” according to Schurter. It can be used to protect household appliances, industrial equipment, lighting systems, medical devices and power supplies.
The UMT 250 SMD fuse is compact, simplifies production, and has a time-lag design. It offers a breaking capacity of 200 A at 250 V AC and is available for 18 different rated currents from 80 mA to 4A. It is ideal for use in protection of medical devices and industrial electronics.
The UMT-H is a compact SMD fuse that is ideal for protection in applications such as industrial electronics, sensors, explosion protection, lighting, and power supply systems. It has a breaking capacity of 1500 A and covers 19 different rated currents from 160 mA and 10 A.
