ProTek Devices announced the PESD1LIN, a new asymmetrical line protection transient voltage suppressor array (TVS array). This new TVS array provides circuit protection of industrial applications such as protocol converters, gateways and field devices and is ideal for use in LIN BUS applications.
“The new circuit protection device is rated at 200 watts peak pulse power per line. This is for an 8/20 secondary lightning surge,” according to the company.
The storage and operating temperatures of the TVS array is -55 to 150 degrees Celsius. Other features of the PESD1LIN include low clamping voltage, minimum breakdown voltage at 15mA, a flammability rating of UL 94V-0, lead-free pure-tin plating, a solder reflow temperature of 260 to 270 degrees Celsius, and more. The TVS array is also RoHS and REACH compliant, and it provides IEC compatibility.
