A new 40 GHz Bandwidth QFN socket design has just been announced by Ironwood Electronics.
The QFN68 is easy to use and is a small 10x10mm package. Features of this socket include an insertion loss of less than 1 dB, operation in temperatures ranging from -55 to over 150 degrees Celsius, a double latch lid, contact resistance of 15 milliohms per pin, and a pin self inductance of 0.10 nH.
“The SMP-QFN-8008 socket is constructed with high performance and low inductance elastomer contactor,” according to the company.
