Harwin, a manufacturer of hardware and connector components, has just announced its expansion of its EZ-BoardWare PCB socket portfolio. The new sockets can “accommodate wider ranges of mating pins ranging from 0.8 – 1.5 mm.” The new EZ-Board sockets support higher volumes, have a low cost, are easy to install, and are more secure than previous models.
“Ideal for contact pins, discrete components, sensors etc, these new EZ-Board sockets will suit applications in many mid- to high-volume markets, ranging from consumer electronics through to the industrial, instrumentation and control systems environments. Typical examples include wireless security systems, ventilation fan stators, fire detectors and electronic switches, where low cost, effective connections need to be achieved within the demands of high volume assembly practices,” Paul Gillam, product manager at Harwin, said.
