ProTek Devices has introduced a new voltage suppressor component to provide power bus circuit protection using features such as a rated stand-off of 78 volts, bidirectional configuration, and a package weighing just 9.8 grams.
The new 2700SM78CAN power bus voltage suppressor component provides 2,250 kilowatts of peak pulse power per line (typical = 8/20 microamps) and a peak pulse current of 15 kiloamperes (typical = 8/20 microamps). Other features include a minimum breakdown voltage of 86 volts, a maximum clamping voltage of 150 volts, and a maximum leakage current of 10 microamperes. Leakage current is rated at 10 volts.
The 2700SM78CAN is RoHS complaint (exemption #7A – high power device) and is equipped with lead-free silver plating. Its co-planarity is < 0.10mm and flammability rating is UL 94V-0. Storage temperature is -55 to +150 degrees Celsius and operating temperatures are -40 to +125 degrees Celsius.
