Agilent Technologies Inc., a supplier of design automation software for microwave, RF, high-frequency and high-speed digital applications has announced the release of the latest version of Electromagnetic Professional (EMPro), its three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software.
“With more electronics being integrated into smaller packages, EMI problems are quickly becoming a leading cause of new product delays,” Marc Petersen, EMPro product manager at Agilent Technologies, said. “Our newest EMPro software release provides designers the capabilities they need to address this challenge head on.”
According to the company, EMPro 2013 includes a number of new features, including a simulation management tool for launching remote and distributed simulations, disconnecting and reconnecting a client computer and receiving mobile status updates; increased FEM mesh performance and robustness for large designs; new FEM hybrid boundary conditions; FDTD simulation enhancements; a real-time electrical connectivity checking tool; and a parameterized trace component for modeling IC and printed circuit board interconnects.
