Procom, a supplier of antennas, filters and combiner equipment, has released two new filters designed to prevent interference between VHF and TETRA radios.
According to the company, the LP 170-FMA is a low-pass filter with a passband of 0-174 MHz and a stopband of 380-1000 MHz. When inserted into the VHF radio antenna cable, the filter protects the TETRA radio from interfering signals from the VHF transmitter and from overload from the TETRA transmitter signal.
The HP 380-FMA is a high-pass filter with a passband of 380-1000 MHz and a stopband of 0-174 MHz. When inserted into the TETRA radio antenna cable, the filter protects the TETRA receiver from overload from the VHF transmitter signal.
