Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), a developer of mobile broadband products and services, has introduced its Liquid Radio WCDMA software suite for use with existing WCDMA networks.
The software suite consists of three features: Continuous Packet Connectivity (CPC), Multi-Band Loading Balancing (MBLB) and Quality of Service (QoS) differentiation. Continuous Packet Connectivity reduces radio interference and enables operators to use radio network resources more effectively by turning off transmitters in mobile devices when no data needs to be transmitted. Multi-Band Load Balancing balances traffic between an operator’s available spectrum and prevents each frequency band from becoming overloaded while Quality of Service differentiation enables an increase in the amount of users per network cell.
