Krytar, Inc., a manufacturer of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment, has released a new 90-degree hybrid coupler designed to perform a variety of functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications.
Measuring 3.16 inches (L) x 1.20 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), the new model 3010040 hybrid coupler delivers 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 1.0 GHz to 4.0 GHz in a single, compact package with excellent phase and amplitude matching. According to the company, the new hybrid coupler is ideal for space-restricted environments in electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, SATCOM, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing applications. Typical specifications include: amplitude imbalance of ±0.6 dB, phase imbalance of ±6 degrees, isolation of >17 dB, maximum VSWR of 1.30 and insertion loss of <1.0 dB. SMA female connectors are included with the hybrid coupler, and N-type female connectors can also be requested. Operating temperature is -54°C to +85°C.
