MILMEGA, part of AMETEK Compliance Test Solutions group, debuted its new dual band amplifier, the AS0104-800/400, to run automotive radar pulse tests. It reduces testing time and is also easy to set up and operate, according to the company.
The amplifier produces continuous wave power from 400 W to 800 W in frequency ranges from 1 GHz to 4 GHz. “AS0104-800/400 has been optimized for maximum power in the two radar bands, 1.2 to 1.4 GHz and 2.7 to 3.1 GHz,” the company said.
Because the amplifier is dual band, it can deliver more output power than other amplifiers while still meeting performance requirements for harmonics.
“The amplifier offers harmonics below -20 dBc, even at saturation,” the company noted.
The AS0104-800/400 can run a radar pulse test while using only one horn antenna because of its increase in power.
“Unit output is suitable for all EMC loads and remote operation is available via IEEE, USB, LAN or RS232.”
